There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

A difficult thing at times that I have found for myself and others is to truly embrace God’s love for us. We know he loves us, we know it’s unconditional, but we still have that fear of judgment. We still hear the voices saying we failed and we are expecting God to tell us the same.

The truth is, as the scripture states, we haven’t let God’s love be made perfect in us. We haven’t totally embrassed the fact that he loves us no matter what. Even if we sin, he may correct us but he will never condemn us. He still loves us and we need to let his love cast out that fear of judgment in our lives. 

Be encouraged today. God loves us no matter what. Let him work that perfect love in you so you can never have to fear reaching out to him again.
