YOU probably think…..

 

Often times we have bad thoughts towards ourselves.  We hear the conversations happening in our minds and we agree with the things the enemy is saying about us.  The thoughts of regrets, self-hate and so much more. This morning as my thoughts went in a certain direction I begin to say to the Lord, “You probably think…..”  As I said these words the Lord stop them in their track and said, “I know the thoughts I have towards you. My thoughts are good and not evil.”  I realize He was speaking that scripture from Jeremiah 29:11 to me.  First reminding me that he actually has thoughts towards me.  Then reminding me that what he’s thinking is not what I’m thinking of myself.  It says in Isaiah 55:8A, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts” God’s desire is that I prosper, that I have a hope and future.

This really got me thinking about God.  The God of the universe who has much on His plate chooses to have thoughts of me.  I’m on His mind!  I am important enough for Him to think about.  This really stuck with me and I began to remember all the other scripture verses that talk about God’s thoughts of me.  Now that’s true love being shown there.  I’m so grateful for a God who knows me and thinks about me even when I have negative thought of myself. Today as you go about your day remember that God has thoughts towards you!

For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. – Jeremiah 29:11 

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things. – Philippians 4:8 

Many, O Lord my God, are Your wonderful works Which You have done; And Your thoughts toward us Cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, They are more than can be numbered. – Psalm 40:5
